- Mostly off-grid infrastructure- electricity (conventional thermo-electric & solar, distribution systems), potable water (main interest is treating collected rain water for storage over extended periods). Anything that "catches the imagination"- I am pretty much semi-retired. I spend a lot of time as an advocate of Open Source software for engineering applications. Open Source 3D printing is my latest project.
BsME degree from UT- El Paso, 1981. Five years at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, then a bout in the Corporate world before going independent. Sold out when Hillary's husband got elected president of the US and bought a sail boat. Anchor finally set in Panama, where the climate is exquisite, the people friendly, and opportunity abounds.
