Hi everyone. I am Seshadri Ramalingam doing my masters in Mechanical Engineering. My key areas of interest are Design and Manufacturing. I have a wide spread experience over Automotive parts design and their manufacturing, from my internship at 'Brakes India Limited' and in-plant trainings at TAFE gears division and Ashok Leyland Limited. I have also had an opportunity to train with a cement manufacturing company (Madras Cements Limited), where I could learn about its manufacturing process and the machineries involved. I have also been a part of my college team that participated in BAJA organized by SAE. I worked on the transmission system of the vehicle and also it's Frame design and analysis. I would say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had, technical wise. I have experience working with modelling tools such as Pro-Engineer, Solidworks and CATIA. I have also worked with Ansys and Abacus at various instances. I have also worked with my professors for two manufacturing related research projects. The first one optimizes the manufacturing performance of Titanium nitride coated K20 carbide insert on Inconel 600 alloy. The second one evaluates the effect of various machining parameters during 'Frictional Stir Processing' (FSP) of AZ31b alloy to attain superior grain refinement at the microstructure level. The former of the two has been published in 'International Journal of Research in Engineering and Technology (IJRET) ISSN 2277-4378'. With subjects like structural optimization, Dynamics and Vibrations, Mechanics of composite materials, Energy systems engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Kinematics of machineries, Design of Transmission elements, Automobile engineering and Advanced IC engines, I could bring with me, a whole package of experience and versatility. I look forward to enhance my knowledge and gain more insight on mechanical concepts and also look for exciting opportunities in the industry where I could give an head start to my career.
