Hello everybody, i am i have more of ex prance in 3d max/ maya and adobe Photoshop so i am looking any kinds of 3d models exerting animation and graphic Design work , you have any kinds of work about this add my skype: liveonline802 gtalk: [email protected]
I think one of the strongest points in the argument for the 3d mouse is that you can rotate smoothly while zooming in or out. This is something that cannot be done with a normal mouse.
Lol, this has happened a couple of times to me and I am basically lost. Navigating around 3D objects using the mouse after using a 3D mouse seems so archaic and clunky, where the 3D mouse seems futuristic and smooth. The feeling is terrible when you sit down to a computer and your left hand falls onto an empty desk space where your 3D mouse sits, and the ensuing panic because you forgot how to navigate 3D space without it.
I love my space navigator. I use it with Solid works. Feels natural. I can control it like my own hand now. I sit back in my aeron with both hands occupied and whip 3d models out
3D connexion models are really great. If you feel uneasy you can check out for 3DxWare a little free utility driver which lets you 3D mouse work in 2D mode too. Thanks
With experience of few hours with my new SpaceMouse Pro seems that it's not waste of money. I'll try to give feedback after month or two... Hantte
I was using it in Inventor, and it was pretty good, and really helpful. Now I use CATIA with another spacemouse (the small one for notebooks) plus I have a Logitech MX. This way my work is more pleasant. I love spacemouse and Logitec MX combo. Worth to give it a try.
I wrote a long article during the evening about 3D mouse. Multiple times it showed me "Auto saved" in bottom right corner. When I pressed Post button, this system asked me to log in again and I can't find what I wrote. Can anyone help me?
before the space mouse (1995-2005) I was dealing with carpel tunnel...too much stress on just my mousing hand.....initially, I would not use it in NX...but after about a month I was flying around my models/assemblies/drawings...much more productive... ymmv..
Hi, After using 3D SpaceMouse for almost two months I've lost my hart to it. It took few hours to adapt movements. That training application of it is good for that. And within few days basic things went to spine, no more thinking of how to zoom, rotate or pan the model. I use to use 3 button "normal" mouse without wheel, because NX and I-DEAS have enter in middle button. Moving 3D model or 2D drawing happens by using middle button (rotate) with Crtl or Shift (pan/zoom). That causes lots of "oops, where did the model go" -situations and lots of extra moving while trying to find correct face/edge/etc. during the command. Sometimes it's very frustrating. With 3D SpaceMouse I simply got rid of all those annoying "I lost the model" -situations. It's very easy to control models position with left hand with 3D SpaceMouse and use right hand to point things with 3-button mouse. Fast and accurate. At least I have a feeling that I'm saving time and it might be true. I never made any benchmarks, but even get that feeling is enough for me. Quich view keys are more or less useless, especially when working with old parts. This is because I hardly ever remember which is the front/top/right/etc. view in different parts. It's easier to hit F8 in NX or Normal To in Solidworks to get fast the correct "standard" view. The rotation toggle key is worth of gold. Ergonomics is not so bad. Of cause it's a compromise for all size of hands. It's a bit tricky to learn precise locations of all buttons and I still have to take a look at 3D mouse quite often. Keyboard mod keys (Ctrl, Alt and Shift) are difficult to find with left little finger, but Esc is easy. Intelligent Function Keys are still in very low usage, because I don't exactly know which functions I need to put there. Time shows, I suppose. I really suggest tis kind of device. Br, Hantte
