Job Description As a CAD Design Engineer your day to day responsibilities will include; Taking ownership of small to large projects by producing 2D layout/section drawings for customer approval. Creating a manufacturing pack consisting of drawings, flat patterns and nests for their CNC punch using Radan CAD/CAM software. Producing manufacturing drawings and liaising with colleagues on the shop floor to ensure components are value engineered for a cost effective solution. Thinking 'outside of the box' to solve engineering and manufacturing issues which can arise and having the ability to act and react quickly in all situations Taking effective instructions from both suppliers and clients in order to deliver the project within the set timeframes Site visits with Client and/or ARP Limited's representatives to provide technical support to create the drawings, extract the relevant information, generate the manufacturing pack for production and ensuring agreed times lines are satisfied and met Working as part of a team to deliver high quality bespoke products to both the retail and private sector The Successful Applicant To be considered for the role of Design Engineer you will be familiar in the following; Degree or HNC/ HND in Mechanical Engineering +36 months in CAD Demonstrate working with Sheet Metal fabrications and in particular familiar working with Aluminum would be very advantageous. Knowledge gained working within subcontract sheet metal industry and with rainwater goods would be very useful Radan CAD/CAM and Inventor ( Desirable) Familiar with, CNC Punch/Laser cutting and Press Brake (Desirable) Have the ability to work with a team of designers and on your own initiative Able to develop effective working relationships with the team and with clients The ability to think outside the box is fundamental to success for this role as the obvious answer is not always apparent Good communication and time management skills What's on Offer £25K - £35K per annum Employers contributory pension scheme 23 days holiday + plus public holidays Varied start and finish times working minimum 45 hours per week Career progression & development opportunities Christmas shutdown Location is Leicester Apply for this job For more information and apply click here: https://express.candarine.com/campaign/url/forward/52540ede5de1
