What software's are the best way to render 3D CAD files? I am using CATIA v5, and I can export files to a variety of CAD standard files, iges, stp, wrl, and step. I want to be able to render these files in a high end rendering software. I was thinking of using 3D Max and using VRay but It has a steep learning curver to use it. Has anyone got any recommendations?

I am an Interior Designer and I use Max. It would take you a while to learn as it did for me and I am still learning to this day. Plus the lighting is quite time consuming to get right. It is a widely used package and produces good results and very realistic.

      Good Luck

I agree - it's fantastic. Maybe there are technically better rendering packages out there, but I've got amazing results out of PhotoView 360 with minimal effort.

Without any doubt 3D Max is the best choice.
      Thanks
