Job Description Due to continued growth and development of the business they now require a high calibre, Engineering Project Manager to support their growth plans. As the Project Manager you will be influential in taking ownership and responsibility for the engineering and managing all aspects of a project from design to customer delivery including: quotation; product engineering; logistics; installation and commissioning. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to correspond at all levels within the business. Primary Responsibilities: Technical consultation with customers to determine project specifications. Design of both modified and bespoke products to customer requirements and performance standards. Good technical writing ability for Quotations, Technical Specifications, Instruction Manuals and Risk Assessments for bespoke products. Manage and coordinate the projects and tasks from design stage to customer delivery. Keep focus on the critical path to ensure project is delivered on time to quality standards. Contract negotiations with customers. Project management and product development. Support for international sales partners. The Successful Applicant Degree / HNC Qualified within Mechanical Engineering - (Prince2 an advantage). Furnace industry experience would be highly advantageous but not essential. Proven track record in a Project Management position (technically demanding products). Understanding of design engineering with the ability to present technical information to others including mechanical and electrical design draughtsmen. Ability to lead cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, purchasing and suppliers/sub-contractors. Highly motivated with a team orientated work style. Knowledge of relevant directives and safety standards is essential. Accuracy and attention to detail as well as strong communication, presentation and IT skills. Willingness to travel including driving license.
