      As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the development of a mechanical design throughout its life cycle, from initial concept and identification of customer requirements through to final factory drawing, bill of materials, prototype and volume manufacture, updates and design improvements.

      As Mechanical Design Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:


      • HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering related qualification
      • Experience of 3D CAD
      • An understanding of the fundamentals of design for manufacture and assembly
      • Accurate record keeping skills
      • The ability to work well within a team environment

      As Mechanical Design Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:


      • Using SolidWorks software to develop designs
      • Working closely with design engineers, purchasing, manufacturing and project management staff to ensure that the customer requirements are achieved, in terms of delivery schedule, cost and quality
      • Managing the entire lifecycle of your products from concept to manufacture, including additional support/upgrades after production
