I see there is a new version of Sketchup Pro and the free version is renamed Sketchup Make. I don't know if Sketchup Make is the same as Sketchup 8 which is the last version I used. From what I just read it looks like Sketchyphysics doesn't yet work with the new Sketchup Pro 2013. Also, the Sketchyphysics site says that there will be a new version someday which will make it a lot more usable, but it has been saying that for quite some time.
Are you asking how my crank-less motion converter works in reverse? If you turn the one shaft that is able to keep rotating, the other will oscillate. If you turn the other in an oscillating manner, the first will rotate. But of course the oscillating input needs to have proper timing of force, which would happen in a working engine. Or are you asking how the software works?
Would anyone like to help with this? I have the Solid Works assembly file that was used for the prototype. I am including a link to a picture of the inside where you can see that the sprockets are not positioned properly. As they turn, the one will crash and stop it from turning any further in that direction. Maybe this is why they didn't include motion studies when they sent me this file. It would be helpful if someone could take the assembly file, unassemble enough to put the sprockets in the right position, and reassemble. I would love to be able to see motion studies which I understand can be included for viewing in e-Drawings Pro. In case inserting the picture there didn't work, maybe this link to the picture. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_R8VA6-Nc3uRUV3VWwyUlhHTnM/edit?usp=sharing
