In a recently published study, Depression is a disabling illness that increases the risk of suicide. The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has led to a rise in fear, anxiety, stress, and depression among the population: of these, university undergraduates from countries severely affected by COVID-19 are some of the most vulnerable of all, as they face strict lockdown measures and have fewer resources to cope with it. Are there any programs that can help prevent and alleviate this disorder?

Additionally, stricter lockdowns and restrictions due to the emerging new variants will lead to more and more mental health issues among the most vulnerable groups so it is best that the government would prioritize mental health care and programs to cope up with the rising and alarming rates of Mental health problems among the population.

However, I don't see that happening as the government has their priorities set somewhere else.
