Our global industrial manufacturing client is actively interviewing for newly-created Design Engineer/Designer position supporting their sales & application engineering group. Will be part of a team developing custom cooling packages for sales proposals & production designs in a fast-paced environment. Light travel between local sites in the Milwaukee vicinity will be required. Accountabilities will be to: Design custom copper-brass & aluminum heat exchangers & cooling modules for diesel engines Create 3D models, 2D prints, & ERP entry to meet production & customer deadlines Create proposal models & drawings for key customers & opportunities Implement engineering changes to support manufacturing & customer requirements. Continuous improvement activities focused on improving both designs & the design process. Requirements are: BME in Mechanical Engineering, or AS in Mechanical Design or equivalent 1+ years post-graduate exp in sheet metal design & manufacturing, assembly exp, geometric tolerancing & tolerance stack-up analysis for an established manufacturer Proficient in SolidWorks (Certified User helpful) in Construction, Power Generation or related industry. Exp with Visual Basic programming or SolidWorks automation desired. Also Pro/E & CadKey. CFD, FEA or similar advanced analytical exp useful Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Office software Located in suburb, south of Milwaukee, offering base salary in the $60-70K range for motivated individual looking for next step in their design engineering career.
