People who are willing to relocate to Bangalore,please go through it Position Description Title : Engineer – Design Reports to : Team Leader – Design Qualification & Experience Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering. 2-4 years of experience in Product design. Experience in automotive domain preferred. Description: The Design Engineer is responsible for design of new or existing products, in line with planning, process, quality targets. He/she produces complete engineering designs translated in CAD models and creates all the associated documentation. Principle Accountability o Creation / Modifications of 3D models for all Exhaust components using standard CAD software. o Strong in preparation of drawings with basic GD&T or as per references. o Knowledge of Sheetmetal/Casting/Forging manufacturing Processes. o Communicate with the customer on day to day activities. o Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documents (PDM) o Execute projects to meet the customer's time line and quality requirements. o Participate in GAP meeting and update information GAP boards timely o Actively participate in employee involvement/ Continuos Improvement activities /knowledge management initiatives. Must have the following experience: · Experience on CAD tools like, PRO-E WF 4, Creo 2.0 & Catia V5. · General Engineering knowledge, Automobile, strength of material etc · Exposure to design and development environment. · Experience on design standards and drafting guidelines.
