I wish but I can't (in my office is forbidden). Music would cover some noisy colleagues, in addition to help concentration.
I prefer classical music while working : words can decrease the attention.
      Ludovico Einaudi is perfect!

If course, I listen to music, but to not distract me listen to music in another language and it makes me have a good time while I design

We encourage our workers to listen to music since it helps them to reduce their work pressure.

My work is Catia design 3D and 2D too. So I am always wired.
I usually listen to alt. rock but now have started listening to western classical.
I like grandiose pieces of Mozart, Beethoven and Wagner. This gives an energetic and grand start to the day.

Oh I do love Ludovico einaudi. He is great, and I love the new album "In a time lapse"
Nice to hear that many people like him...I like to design to his therapeutic sounds...

Share your best pieces of music...spread the magic :D

I used to listen to a lot of music at work. If I was doing calculations it was heavy metal but if I was checking drawings or modeling it was rock or country. That was when I was a design engineer now that I am an engineering manager it seems all I do is answer questions. It is an unending stream of my direct reports walking into my office and asking me stuff I can't get thru a single song.

It's an interesting topic. I like to listen music when I'm fitting components but I'll turn-off while doing calculations.

But of course, because music has increasingly become apart of the modern-day work session.

I highly recommend this website: https://www.focusatwill.com/
It helped me a lot when writing my thesis and it is great while working too. It's impressive how the right music can change your concentration to work and absolute focus on your tasks.

This is a quote from the website: "Mainstream music lowers comprehension and creates distraction because it is designed to connect with you intellectually and emotionally. Focus@will technology delivers various “Attention Amplifying†music channels scientifically designed to engage with your brain’s limbic system. This soothes the easily distracted fight or flight mechanism increasing attention span and general focus".

      Hello all!

Music helps me to exclude the outside world and sometimes the disturbing colleges too. :D Seriously I can concentrate on my work better if I listen to music. Anyway I need some background noise I can't stand the silence.
