I assembled a 3d printer with opensource RepRap Mendal technology,
after experienced it for a couple of days and tested it with several parts we designed before,
It works very well for some simple parts,
but it's very hard to form the hollow or impending features,
does anyone has similar experience and know how to resolve it ?

as far as i know 3d printers(the cheap ones) work well in X-Y plane but their resolution in z axis isnt tht good. As you know all it does is stack up sheets of material in X-Y plane at different Z. so may be the orientation of your model might do the trick.
