Good day/Good evening,

I'm a B.Tech graduate from Kerala, India, and have 2 years of experience in the gulf regions (Abu Dhabi) working on projects involving the construction of oil rigs. My job profile was that of a project engineer, completely detached from design.
However, my focus and interests lie in the field of design, and as such I currently am taking courses in Solidworks, Catia, Ansys and GD&T. Could someone give me an account of what my chances are, in the field of mechanical design, with the skill set that I possess?
Do note that I have no prior experience in design whatsoever.
