From Material Storage and Conveying, through to Blending, Colouring and Drying, Magnetic Platens, Robots, Parts Conveying, Sprue Separation and Granulation of scrap. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES § Design and develop new products and equipment to improve the company’s product range § Carry out site inspections as required § Visit customer sites, take measurements and understand the technical aspect of each project § Write technical specifications for projects § Review product performance and feedback from customers to develop product improvements § Understand customer requirements to ensure that products meet the purposes for which they are designed § Provide team and customer technical support § Provide solutions to all levels of technical enquiries EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL § Mechanical design experience § Electrical design experience § 2D CAD skills § Project management experience § Highly customer focused § Computer literacy – Microsoft Office § Must have excellent communication skills, essential to transfer technical knowledge to sales team § Full UK driving license PREFERABLE § Background in plastics ancillary equipment § An understanding of the processing / automation industry § Experience of control panel design and integration § HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline KEY COMPETENCIES § Natural solution provider § Takes responsibility and can deliver to end result § Proactive § An innovative thinker § Self-motivated § Has an eye for detail § Team player § Well organised § Excellent verbal and written communication skills
