I am working on a project replicating ancient technology and would like to make a set of open clay moulds for casting some bronze pieces. I have a foundry willing to do the bronze pour so long as I bring the moulds. I can't find any information on the appropriate clay to use for metal casting since everything I have seen uses sand or modern materials. Any suggestions on making clay moulds for bronze would be appreciated.
