      Permanent: £32,000 -£35,000


      Our client is an acknowledged leader in the design, development and production of a high stability range of electronic products, that utilise a unique and proprietary thin film technology.


      We currently have a requirement for a Mechanical Design Engineer to compliment there current Design Team. You will report to the Technical Director and will be working within a small cross-functional team developing electronic pressure sensors for pneumatic and hydraulic applications using highly advanced strain gauge technologies.
      You will be responsible for new product design and developing the existing product portfolio.


      You will be required to be educated to Degree Level in a Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (minimum 2:1).
      You need to have proven experience in SolidWorks and other design/drafting software, Drawing office skills (change control / document control / product approval)
      Proven experience within a high-volume product design and associated process tooling.
      Experienced in project management from end-customer through productionisation to deliver highly robust, low-cost and quality driven solutions in tight time-frames.


      Ideally you will have experience in plastic mould-flow and knowledge of “6-sigma†design techniques.

      You may have to travel to visit overseas customers and suppliers so you will be required to have a driving license and valid passport to all countries.
