Our client is involved in the development of light electric vehicles and uses ground breaking production technology and high performance materials and processes to design and develop cutting edge products such as structural bonding to batteries, motors and electronic control systems THE JOB Mechanical Design engineers (6 month contract) Working from the clients Cambridge facility we have openings for mechanical design engineers with 5 years min. experience in structural component design from aerospace, motorsport, or automotive backgrounds. Strong 3D solid modelling skills required on ProE or Solidworks, including very strong Geometric tolerance and drawing experience and skills. Understanding of injection moulding, forging, extruding, bonding, CNC machining manufacturing methods as well as assembly and production fixture design. This is approx a six month contract that could convert to a permanent position.
