Hi Mechanical Design Forum and greetings from Canada!

First of all thanks to Gareth for inviting me to this forum. I was really excited when I found out about MDF, I think it's a long overdue resource and am anxious to see it grow.

About my self, I have been engaged in mechanical design for over 10 years and hold and an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada. I have worked in several different industries including automotive, nuclear and industrial machinery in the capacity of design, manufacturing and applications.

I started my own design business in 2004 and took it full time in 2006. Originally, I did just machine design but since inception I have expanded my services to include product design and machine building. Our website is http://www.engmechdesign.com, check it out and let me know what you think.

I have also started a second company this year to mass produce a product I helped design. More details to follow on that project when it's ready for release (before the new year).

I hope to be able to contribute to this forum so if anyone has a question or needs help PM or shoot me an email at [email protected]

      Sincerely, Tom Lokody

Hi Tom. Welcome to the forum :)

Thanks for the link - the site looks great and congratulations on with your success in getting your business going over the last few years.

It'll be interesting to hear about your new company and the product you're manufacturing, so please do pop back and reveal all soon!
