Where can one get a good online practical training on drafting and CAD with international recognition? Thanks.
Autocad users can get training from Autodesk Training Center spreaded through out the world. Autodesk certification is recommended for global recognition. Please refer website of autodesk.
I believe online training is a waste of time really. Here is my sugestion: 1) start with tutorials that are included in the program and gain basic knowledge of the program 2) than do as much work on the CAD program as possible. This is really the only way to learn working with a CAD program - do as much work as possible. 3) youtube is actually a really good source for free courses, but in my experience it should be used to upgrade your existing knowledge. 4) apply for the licence exam - I know SolidWorks has those exams and their licences are really the only relevant ones. At least in my experience. I think they have those exams twice per year, and you can upgrade your licence by taking advanced exams later on. But you should know those exams arent cheap.
CAD is a huge course and if you want to know the basics it will not that tough you think. How ever I have found a useful link which might help you. http://www.westwood.edu/~/media/Files/files/pdf/program-brochures/cad.ashx thanks
Good day, Take a look at this book I have prepared : Book title - PRODUCT MECHANICAL DESIGN : A GUIDED TRAINING COURSE. Book type - Kindle e-book. This book can be purchased from http://www.amazon.com/dp/B011DY7PYU The price of this book is USD1.99 only. This book was prepared to provide a general exposure to how a product mechanical designer would go about designing a product. A key function of this book is to offer a guided hands on training course for the reader to get a feel of how a new product would be designed in a typical real scenario product development cycle. The training course has been designed such that any person having a minimum understanding in the basics of technical drafting can complete the course at the person's own place and schedule. The training course can be done using any 2D/3D CAD software the reader is comfortable with and it can also be done using a drafting board for those who do not have access to a 2D/3D CAD software. It is hoped that those who complete the training course will find it useful in their pursuit of a career in the product mechanical design engineering field. Questions and feedback from users of this book are welcomed and can be e-mailed to [email protected]
