Do you think you've given enough information for anybody to have any idea of what you're talking about?

      Over-Constrained

Make sure that all parts attached to the moving hinge have constraints only to the moving hinge or to another part which moves with the hinge. It only takes one screw constrained to be in a hole on the hinge and also constrained to an assembly datum planes to over-constrain the assembly.

Roll the assembly back until you only have the hinge parts. If they move as expected, add a component one at a time and see if the assembly moves. If you find it won't move, you've likely found the part which is over-constraining the assembly.

Are you making sure to only constrain the sevens part to the first part and NOT an assembly feature? Are you getting a "partially constrained" message?

Makes sure first part is se to default.

Be sure that your first hinge part in your assembly is set to Default. Otherwise it will move with the other assembled parts. Otherwise it would have to be a constraint issue. Right click and then edit (the sphere with a pen) on each part on the list to the left and make sure they are colored orange. Hope this helps.
