Hello, I teach a CAD Course and students sometimes ask me if I know of any good sources of engineering drawings that they can use to practice their skills with. Usually I just say to model up actual real world items using measurements and by eye, but some of them like to practice working from real drawings. Does anyone know of any good sources of drawings (other than just Googling "Engineering Drawing -Car", for example)? They could be anything really - car parts, product design etc. Sort of like a 'GrabCAD' but for drawings maybe? Thanks!
So the professor who taught me CAD in 2014 used to give us things to draw. Here are a few links from those. I hope it helps. I practiced on them in my first years in engineering, it brings back so many memories http://users.metu.edu.tr/sonmez/MECH 114/ws1.pdf http://users.metu.edu.tr/sonmez/MECH 114/worksheet2.pdf http://users.metu.edu.tr/sonmez/MECH 114/work sheetweldments.pdf here is the link to the course website, its not password protected so I guess anyone can use it. http://users.metu.edu.tr/sonmez/MECH 114/MECH 114home.htm http://users.metu.edu.tr/sonmez/MECH 113/MECH 113home.htm there are practice worksheets here and they are quite useful but not all of them work.
