Research and Development Engineer - Gloucestershire - £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Due to continued growth a Gloucestershire manufacturer has an opportunity for an ambitious engineer to take a lead role in the development of new products. This is a new position which would suit a graduate with experience in design, development and manufacturing or a time served engineer with relevant experience. Duties: Research new product ideas, produce protoypes, designs, instructions and bills of materials Identify improvements to manufacturing processes Provide support and training for manufacturing operatives Work closely with purchasing, manufacturing, maintenance and quality teams Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Preferably educated to Degree level in mechanical engineering, manufacturing or similar, although applicants with relevant experience also considered AutoCAD experience (preferably Autodesk Inventor) Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Able to use CNC and manual machinery including milling, riveting, drilling Familiar with various manufacturing and assembly processes Good understanding of lean manufacturing Excellent communication and leadership skills For further information and to apply please visit www.rjnselection.co.uk RJN Engineering Selection act as an employment agency
