The Senior Research Engineer will work within the Research Group to apply their skills and experience to invent technologies that enhance the company’s technical advantage in future products. You will drive research projects from initial conception, through the various technology readiness levels. You will also be responsible for supporting these technologies through to realisation and demonstrating their capabilities.

To be considered for this role you must be degree qualified in an Engineering, Science or Industrial Design discipline or equivalent. Previous experience in a comparable role is also vital as well as the below skills/experience;

• Ideally strong design or engineering experience in industry
• Proven ability to communicate through 2 and 3 dimensional media, e.g. sketching, CAD, model making
• Good analytical and problem solving ability, capable of logically assessing technologies using a variety of methods
• Creative - proven ability to generate numerous, innovative concepts for new technologies
• Have an understanding of core engineering test procedures and equipment. Able to specify experimental programmes and effectively analyse results, summarise findings and make recommendations
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to coach/mentor junior engineers
