Cylindrical housing encloses bearing arrangement which is assembled with the shaft where shaft is rotating part and housing is stationary. Housing is loaded with 32kg on the top by loading pin. Housing and loading pin makes higher pair(point contact). During machine starting phase(Initial speed = 0rpm & final speed = 6800 rpm, power to be transmitted 0.25kW) housing tends to rotate(which is unwanted) for few degrees then it will stay stationary. Because of this instantaneous housing rotation loading pin gets wear. Is changing higher pair as lower pair prevents initial rotation of housing to avoid pin wear out? or Is there any other ways to stop this initial rotation?
