      Hi

Anybody come accross the design requirement of tailing lug peovise on bottom shell section of a vertical pressure vessel with Bracket support installed on steel structure. If yes please advise guide lines for design of tailing lug and local stress on vessel due to tailing loads.

      Thank you

Are you refering to a lifting tag? usually you put those on there so the riggers can upright the pressure vessel with some control. My rule of thumb was that the tag should hold at least 1.5x the weight of the vessel minimum.
