      The client is a market leading business in the automotive electronics sector. They have been a driving innovation force in automobile safety for sixty years. They have eighty sites in over twenty five countries.

      Job Description

      The successful Product Quality Manager will join a market leading leadership team.

      The primary duties for the Product Quality Manager are;
      • A leader in the driving quality for the New Product Introduction for the business.
      • Ensure timeliness and quality of PPAP submissions from the Product Quality team.
      • Assuring process and methods are communized through the plant and assure relevant standards are being followed.
      • Drive continuous improvement activities related to product quality by promoting the 8D problem solving methodology for internal quality concerns and coordination of all PFMEA Go & See activities.
      • Coach and mentor Product Quality Engineers working on both Active and passive safety products to instill a Q5 mindset and promote AS standard awareness/compliance.
      • Act as the primary authorizer for PPAP's.
      • Overall responsibility for the SWI release and audit process.
      The Successful Applicant
      • Someone who has a demonstrable history in delivery in an automotive products sector.
      • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma
      • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the automotive quality field being an asset
      • Working knowledge of Quality methods and failure analysis experience including 8D and PFMEA.
      • Control Plan development.
      • Thorough understanding of electronics assembly process including automation.
      • Strong interpersonal skills.
      • Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
      • Ideal candidate would have knowledge of both TS 16949 and ISO14001 standards and certification.
      • Ability to communicate with external customers and suppliers, occasionally in times of high visibility and increased pressure.
      • Ability to lead a team and drive continuous improvement.
