They are a leading manufacturer of sealing systems and engineered composite materials, including a unique line of specialty papers. We currently seek a Tooling Design Engineer/ Tooling Supervisor for their location in the Central Iowa area who will quote, design, manage builds, changes and oversee maintenance of all steel tooling at facility. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Directing and coordinating all tool and die maker activities. Establishing tooling quotes Designing new tooling Supporting current production tooling Develop prototype tooling and processes Ensure safety procedures Support estimating function by estimating costs for steel tooling Supervise tool and die makers in a Union environment Qualifications: · Bachelors in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering · 3-5 years related experience in die / machine design (up to 200 tons) · Possess a thorough understanding of a variety of die and machine design concepts, practices and procedures. · Proficiency in CAD (Cadkey, Inventor or Pro E preferred) & CAM · Must be detail oriented, analytical, patient, professional and flexible. · Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5 S programs Salary $65-75K Relocation assistance is provided If you have the skills and are ready to work for a Global Manufacturer that offers a competitive salary and benefit package, contact us today!
