Please go through the complete job details and if interested, share me an updated copy of your Resume Job Title : Mechanical Engineer III (HVAC/R) Location : Columbia , SC Job Type : Full-Time Regular/Direct Hire This engineer designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems. The person in this position may also provide work leadership for lower level employees. Duties include, but are not limited to: Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approval. Technical responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development. Coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material. Additional Information: Assist the controls team in the development of electronic control boards with analog and digital circuitry by reviewing and testing control prototypes with air conditioners and furnaces in their respective applications Perform root cause analysis and implement design changes to assure product integrity. Lead the communication between the controls team and platform teams on controls related projects. Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Requires at least 5 years HVAC/R experience. Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Experience with analytical and CAD software. Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
