In this inspiring and challenging business environment of Wärtsilä you will be creating state off the art industrial design solutions by having good mechanical design skills and experience in industrial design. The industrial design team is characterised by innovation and passion for design, we expect you to share the same mind set. This position is located in Vaasa, Finland. Responsibilities - Lead design research i.e. customer research & end user study process in product development projects - Communicate and coordinate Industrial Design activities within Wärtsilä and in product development projects - 3D modelling, Mechanical design, design implementation, concept design, User testing & validation, mock-up & prototype building - Lead product development activities with Industrial design methodologies - Develop and maintain tools, methods and processes for ID expertise in Wärtsilä Requirements - MA, MSc or bachelor degree in industrial design - Experience in industrial & mechanical design and product development - Good knowledge of industrial design methodologies - Skills in hardware design, 3D modelling and concept design - Good presentation skills & communication skills - Good communication in English, Oral and Written Please add your portfolio to appendices.
