Position description Wärtsilä Marine Solutions is looking for a Expert, Industrial Design to Research and Development department in Wärtsilä’s Engines business line. In this inspiring and challenging business environment of Wärtsilä you will be creating state off the art industrial design solutions by having solid experience in product design and brand development. The industrial design team is characterised by Innovation and passion for design, we expect you to share the same mind set. This position is located in Espoo, Finland. Responsibilities - Lead design research i.e. customer research & end user study process in product development projects - Communicate and coordinate Industrial Design activities within Wärtsilä and in product development projects - 3D modelling, Hardware design, concept design, User testing & validation, mock-up & prototype building, UX design - Lead product identity creation and brand recognition - Lead product development activities with Industrial design methodologies - Develop and maintain tools, methods and processes for ID expertise in Wärtsilä Requirements - MA, MSc or bachelor degree in industrial design - Experience in industrial design and in user experience design - Experience in graphical design and in product development - Design experience in product identity development and in brand development - Good knowledge of industrial design methodologies - Skills in hardware design, 3D modelling and concept design - Good presentation skills & communication skills - Good communication in English, Oral and Written Please add your portfolio to appendices.
