      Im studying final year mechanical Engineering. im working in SAE BAJA project. i want to calculate "wheel Torque" of the car. Please Help me....:confused:

      See a link to a very good book on the "Motor Vehicle" - which I found very useful when I was working in that industry some years back.

      If you have a read of chapter 25 - beginning on page 750 - it will explain the purpose of the gearbox - and how this is used to match the torque and power output of the engine - to the combined resistance of motion of the car - at the desired speed.
